Kiah is a 11-year-old red dun Quarter Horse who was adopted from "The Mitchell Centre for Equine Rescue and Education" in Vulcan, AB in February 2008. Kiah was a PMU foal who worked as a ranch horse until her owners decided they no longer wanted to work with Quarter Horses. Paul Mitchell was fortunately able to purchase her from the meat buyer in the parking lot of the Innisfail Auction Mart after the sale.
Kiah is an Australian aboriginal word meaning "from the beautiful place".
